Avoiding contact does not authorize a server to trespass, threaten, misrepresent authority, or ignore Florida law. The objective is lawful, professional service supported by accurate records.
What a process server may do
Depending on the documents, deadline, and facts at the address, a server may return on different days or at different practical times, verify details supplied by the client, attempt a workplace or another authorized address, and record observations relevant to the assignment.

Only provide information you are legally permitted to share. Never ask a server to use deceptive, unsafe, or unlawful tactics.
What if the address is no longer valid?
If the recipient has moved, skip-tracing and address research may help identify or verify a current location. Research results are leads and should be evaluated before service is attempted.
Can papers be left with someone else?
Florida service rules vary by document and circumstance. Substitute service may be allowed in some situations, while other papers require different procedures. The server must follow the applicable instructions and law rather than assume that leaving documents with any available person is sufficient.
What happens after unsuccessful attempts?
The server may provide an attempt record or non-service documentation describing dates, times, locations, and relevant facts. Your attorney or the issuing court can advise whether additional attempts, another address, an extension, or an alternative method of service should be requested.
